God Seed

Experimental

The start of the world.

Still Photos

To be or not to be. If we existed inside of a video game or a simulation, would there be any way for us to tell? Probably not, so we spend our lives interacting with the world put in front of us. Thus, questioning the very fabrics of the universe and individual existence is generally a waste of time. I have wasted a lot of time wondering about such science-fiction concepts so I decided to throw all of my thoughts and reflections into one short experimental film.

We could have been anyone at all and we could have been born anywhere in the universe. Yet, we were born as ourselves right here on the planet Earth. If this were a video game, you could say that we kind of just randomly spawned somewhere on the map with a unique starter kit. I decided to comprise the majority of the film with photos and computer-generated media in order to convey the complexities and intricacies behind a fated existence. I wanted to tell a story by means of sending the viewer on a euphoric trip full of stunning visuals and immersive sound. With God Seed, I hope to stimulate the mind of the viewer and open gateways to new lines of thought and contemplation.
